ADVENTURE BASE AND SUMS TRAIL RUNNING TRIP

1. Eligibility

1.1 The Competition is open worldwide, unless prohibited by local law.

1.2 Employees of Adventure Base Ltd or SUMS are not eligible to enter.

1.3 Entrants must be 18 years of age or older at the date of entry.

2. Entry

2.1 Purchase route: To enter, participants must make a purchase using the promo code MONTBLANC during the Competition Period. This applies to purchases made online at the SUMS website or in person at the SUMS stand at UTMB.

2.2 Free entry route: To enter without making a purchase, send your full name, email address, and postal address on a plain postcard to:

SUMS CLUB Competitions, Unit 9 Wessex Rd, High Wycombe, Wooburn Green, Bourne End SL8 5DT.

2.3 By entering through either route, all participants consent to receive marketing communications from both SUMS and Adventure Base.

2.4 Each person is limited to one entry in total, regardless of the route used or number of purchases made. Duplicate entries will not be counted.

3. Competition Period

The Competition opens on 22nd August 2025 and closes on 31st August 2025 at 23:59 GMT. Entries received outside this period will not be valid. Postal entries must arrive by the closing date.

4. Personal Data

By entering, entrants consent to their personal data being shared between SUMS and Adventure Base for the purposes of administering the Competition and for marketing communications. Both companies will process data in accordance with their privacy policies and applicable data protection laws, including the UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018.

5. Rules

The Competition is governed by these Rules, subject to amendment by Adventure Base Ltd. By entering, entrants agree to comply with these Rules. Adventure Base Ltd’s decisions are final and binding.

6. Entry Conditions

6.1 Entrants must own, or have the right to submit, the email address used.

6.2 Entries that are incomplete, illegible, fraudulent, or made using multiple accounts will be disqualified.

7. Winner Selection

One winner will be selected at random from all eligible entries after the Competition Period ends. Adventure Base & SUMS will notify the winner via the email address provided.

8. Claiming the Prize

8.1 The winner must confirm eligibility, acceptance of the prize, and agreement to these Rules within 48 hours of notification.

8.2 If the winner does not respond within 48 hours, is found ineligible, or declines the prize, another entrant will be selected.

9. The Prize

9.1 The prize consists of one place on one of the following Adventure Base trail running trips:

  Self-Guided Trail Running: Tour du Mont Blanc in 4 Days
  

9.2 The trip must be undertaken in 2026 or 2027. The winner must confirm dates with Adventure Base Ltd within 14 days of prize notification.

9.3 The prize covers trip participation only. The winner is responsible for all additional costs, including but not limited to travel to/from the start point, flights, visas, insurance, meals (unless specified in trip details), and equipment.

9.4 The prize is non-transferable, non-exchangeable, non-refundable, and has no cash value. Adventure Base Ltd and SUMS reserve the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value if necessary.

10. Publicity

By accepting the prize, the winner agrees to allow Adventure Base Ltd and SUMS to publish their name, image, and statements in promotional material without further compensation.

11. Liability

Entrants agree to release and hold harmless Adventure Base Ltd, SUMS, and their affiliates, directors, employees, and agents from any liability for claims, costs, injuries, losses, or damages of any kind arising in connection with the Competition or use of the prize.

Nothing in these Rules excludes liability for death, personal injury, or fraud where caused by negligence.

12. Technical Issues

Adventure Base Ltd is not responsible for:

  Technical malfunctions (including website outages or QR code issues) or internet failures affecting entries.
  
• 
  Incomplete, lost, delayed, or corrupted entries (including postal entries).
  
• 
  Unauthorised access to or alteration of entries.
  

If the identity of an entrant is disputed, the authorised account holder of the email address at the time of entry will be deemed the entrant.

13. Governing Law

The Competition and these Rules are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
